Position Music is a music publishing company, record label, and artist management firm, with headquarters in Los Angeles.

The firm was founded in 1999 by Tyler Bacon. Position Music specializes in both music publishing and synch – i.e. the placing of music, via licensing, in advertising, movies, TV, and video games.

The company has licensed music to brands including Google, Samsung, and McDonald’s, and into movies including Transformers, The Hobbit, and Wonder Woman.

In 2018, Position Music promoted Wendy Griffiths to the position of EVP of Sync & Creative Licensing.

Prior to working at Position Music, Griffiths held the position of EVP of Licensing & Synch for BMG where she managed the marketing, synch and licensing efforts for all new clients, pulling from a catalog that included music from Kurt Cobain, Aerosmith, Johnny Cash, Soundgarden, Bruno Mars, Will.i.am and John Legend amongst others.Music Business Worldwide
