Exactuals is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company specializing in entertainment industry-related payments, including residuals, royalties, marketplace payments and similarly complex transactions.

Founded in 2011 and head quartered in Los Angeles, the company is led by Mike Hurst, Co-Founder and CEO.

Exactuals also has offices in Nashville and New York.

The company’s flagship product is PaymentHub, which allows studios, unions, guilds, payroll companies, music publishers, record labels, distributors and marketplaces to provide direct deposit payments, tax document management and online reporting to rights-holders, performers, managers, service providers and independent contractors worldwide.

The company also recently introduced RAI, a software development kit and open API, which the company claims can programmatically improve IP metadata.

Ownership

Exactuals is an RBC company and a wholly owned subsidiary of City National Bank Member FDIC.

Funding

In February 2017, City National participated in a $10 million round of funding for Exactuals.

Milestones

In January 2021, Exactuals reported that its flagship PaymentHub product saw 250% year-over-year growth over the past 12 months, and passed $1 billion in all-time dollars processed.

Acqusitions
