Scooter Braun and Ithaca Holdings acquisition

In February 2019, Atlas announced that it had been acquired by Ithaca Holdings.

Ithaca is the investment vehicle of Scooter Braun, founder of SB Projects and long-term manager of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

At the time, Braun said: “Richard has built an incredible publishing business with Atlas and we are excited to bring him and his team into the family.

“By working with Richard and his team, we will have a direct line to some of the most creative writers making the publishing process more streamlined and personal.”

Four months later, in June 2019, Ithaca announced that it had acquired a recorded music company – Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group – to complement its publishing operation via Atlas.Music Business Worldwide
