Columbia Records names Azim Rashid as SVP Urban Promotion

Columbia Records has hired Azim Rashid (pictured) as SVP Urban Promotion.

The news was announced today by SVP Promotion/Operations Jim Burruss.

Leading the Urban Promotion department, Rashid will be responsible for the Columbia roster at urban radio.

Rashid was most recently SVP of Promotion at Roc Nation and has previously held positions at Motown Records, Atlantic Records, and Capitol Music Group.
