Data and insight specialist Chartmetric has launched Flow, an AI agent designed to enhance and simplify its subscribers’ toolkit.
Flow is very much “not just another AI chatbot”, according to Chartmetric Founder and CEO Sung Cho.
Flow AI, the company says, can untangle complex analysis and explain how, why, and where audiences are engaging with an artist.
It can also generate weekly reports for priority releases, build a multi-phase marketing plan, and monitor millions of tracks across every major service.
Says Cho: “Flow is a brand-new product purpose-built for music industry professionals, backed by the robust data pipeline Chartmetric has built over the past ten years.
“It thinks through the best strategies from the perspective of the music industry, cross-referencing your data against 14 million artists.”
Flow combines existing AI models with Chartmetric‘s own datasets and proprietary technology, drawing on trillions of data points to deliver almost-instant analysis and recommendations.
Akash Mukerjee, Chief Product Officer at Chartmetric, said: “We’ve been developing Flow for the last two years, and we’ll be constantly improving it to empower our users to ask bespoke questions about music, strategy, and growth opportunities.
“Flow is part of your team – performing tasks, scheduling, automating, and working in the background as a thinking partner.”
Chartmetric Premium subscribers get Flow Lite as part of their $150-per-month package.
The full Flow offering is included in Chartmetric’s $180-per-month Ultra package.
Flow is additionally available as a standalone subscription priced at $60 per month.
“Chartmetric‘s goal has always been to provide the music industry with more insights for making informed decisions,” Cho told MBW. “We always wanted to make this data easier to consume and empower our users to ask bespoke, creative data questions.
“Our motivation to develop Flow was to deliver on that promise of self-service analytics and put that power in the hands of the most curious and creative people in the music industry to have a virtual data analyst.”

Cho added: “First and foremost, Flow brings a conversational experience where you can describe your music data questions in plain language.
“It’s connected to the vast Chartmetric database, so we can provide analytical insights that are grounded in our data.
“Additionally, Flow AI provides more action-based capabilities like finding growth opportunities, recommendations, as well as performing tasks and automations like creating alerts, shortlists, etc., all by describing those asks in words.”
Chartmetric subscribers are granted 20 monthly Flow AI credits on the Premium tier, and 100 monthly credits on both Ultra and the standalone plan. Additional Flow AI credits can be bought as top-ups at any time.
“More than 4,000 users have used Flow App to answer the questions that used to take a full research session – who an artist’s audience actually is, what’s driving a spike or a drop, and how they stack up against peers across every platform at once,” Cho told MBW.
“Instead of assembling that story by hand across charts, filters, and spreadsheets, subscribers get it in one conversation, then save it, export it, and act on it. That’s the shift Flow delivers: from tracking what happened to understanding why it happened and deciding what to do next.”
All Chartmetric dashboard tiers carry a seven-day trial, over which Flow AI credits are capped at 10 before a subscriber’s full monthly allowance begins.
Chartmetric was among the first music data firms to launch an MCP server earlier this year. MCP access is now included on the platform with every subscription plan.Music Business Worldwide
