Cee Barrett has joined Kobalt as its Director, Creative.
Based in Los Angeles, Barrett will be responsible for discovering and signing songwriters, as well as creating opportunities for the existing global Kobalt creative roster.
Barrett comes to Kobalt with over 10 years of experience in the artist and songwriter community.
Before joining Kobalt, he served as an executive in the R&B/Hip Hop department at Broadcast Music, Inc (BMI) where his duties included signing current and emerging talent, developing and maintaining relationships with songwriters, publishers, managers, attorneys, etc., as well as having a key role in planning various events.
Some of his key signings at BMI included Bryson Tiller, SZA, Ella Mai, and Megan Thee Stallion.
