Catch Point Rights Partners and M3 Music strike pact to source Latin Music catalog acquisition opportunities

Music rights acquisition firm Catch Point Rights Partners and Colombia-based M3 Music have formed a strategic relationship to source music catalog acquisition opportunities in Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

M3 Music, a prominent Colombia-based independent music company that operates across artist management, recordings and music publishing, will advise Catch Point on Latin catalog acquisitions.

M3 says that it will engage with labels, publishers, songwriters and artists who are exploring financing options for their catalogs.

The music company’s roster includes Bomba Estéreo, Santiago Cruz, Mitú, Diamante Eléctrico, Aria Vega, Maki Vaez, and Monte, and has previously worked with Monsieur Periné, Vicente García, Systema Solar, Superlitio, and El Freaky, among others.

Catch Point launched in 2020 and has been acquiring music publishing and sound recording catalogs across various genres.

Founded by senior executives in the music  and private equity industries, Catch Point says that it aims to “provide creative and flexible liquidity solutions for the owners of music copyrights”.

Catch Point acquires rights and royalties from artists, songwriters, producers, record labels, music publishers and other owners of music related royalty streams.

The firm has acquired interests in songs recorded by artists such as: 5 Seconds of Summer, A$AP Rocky, All Time Low, Avicii, Avril Lavigne, blink-182, Brantley Gilbert, Christina Perri, Counting Crows, Daughtry, Flo Rida, Goldfinger, Good Charlotte, Jason Derulo, Joe Cocker, Korn, New Found Glory, Panic! At The Disco, Sheryl Crow, Tears for Fears, The Used, Yelawolf and many others.
