Bucks launches management division, hires Anthony Hippsley

London-based Bucks Music Group has launched a management division headed by former Big Life and Spilt Milk Management team member Anthony Hippsley.

Hippsley has joined the company as Talent Manager and is tasked with the day to day running of Bucks Music Management, which will look to sign artists, producers, songwriters and mix engineers to the company.

He brings with him producer and writer Jordan Riley who has been working with up-and-coming artists including Leo Standard and Callum Scott – who was signed to Capitol Records in the US earlier this week.

Riley has also been working with songwriters such as Guy Chambers, James Newman, Martin Brammer and Jenn Decilveo.

Hippsley said: “I am excited to start Bucks Music Management and partner with the UK’s strongest independent publisher to offer management and the chance to work with great artists, producers, writers and mix engineers to see their goals accomplished.”

Bucks’ Director of Creative A&R Sarah Liversedge said: “The time feels perfect for Bucks Music Group to branch out and develop a new management venture.

“Anthony first came onto my radar a couple of years ago at our Bucks writing camp at Rak Studios – he was guest bass guitarist in a session with our friends and business associates, producer Bless Beats and Ivor 2016 nominated songwriter Jin Jin.

“His interaction and communication with artists, producers and songwriters is impressive and we are pleased that Anthony will kick start the management roster with rising producer and writer, Jordan Riley.”

Bucks Music Group is an independent, international music publisher and has been responsible for launching or developing the careers of music legends including T-Rex, David Bowie, The Move, Black Sabbath and Procol Harum.

Its current roster includes Brian Eno, Peggy Seeger, Pete Doherty, Danny Brown, Honeyblood and more.

It also represents  composers such as David Arnold, Rachel Portman, Michael Price and Richard G Mitchell, alongside talented up-and-comers in the field.
