Sixteen-time Grammy-winning superstar singer and songwriter Bruno Mars will release his fourth solo album called The Romantic on February 27.

The album, to be released through Atlantic Records, marks his first solo project since the six-time Grammy-winning album 24K Magic dropped.

The announcement made Wednesday (January 7) comes alongside news of a new single dropping on Friday (January 9). Pre-orders for a numbered first-pressing vinyl edition opened this week through Mars’ website.

Mars has also announced The Romantic Tour, marking his first full headline tour in nearly a decade following the 24K Magic World Tour, which first launched in 2017.

Produced by Live Nation, the 2026 tour will be his first full headlining stadium tour and will span nearly 40 shows across North America, Europe, and the UK, marking, according to Live Nation “one of the biggest global outings of the year”.

The tour launches on Friday, April 10, in Las Vegas, NV, at Allegiant Stadium before moving on to major cities including Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Denver, Miami, and more. He’ll be performing at venues such as the Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Wembley Stadium in London, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Joining Mars across all dates is nine-time Grammy award-winning artist and Silk Sonic collaborator Anderson .Paak as DJ Pee .Wee. Additional support will be provided by Victoria MonétRAYE, and Leon Thomas across select markets.

Despite the decade-long gap between solo albums, Mars has maintained commercial momentum through singles and collaborations. His track with Lady Gaga, Die With A Smile, won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and was nominated for Song of the Year. It became Spotify’s fastest track to reach 1 billion streams. It also helped Mars become the first artist to reach 150 million monthly listeners on Spotif

Last month, Vevo announced that Die With A Smile was the most-watched music video on Vevo in 2025, with 932 million global views.

Another recent collab, APT. with BLACKPINK member Rosé also dominated global streaming charts last year. It was the most-streamed song on Apple Music and on Deezer last year, spent 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. US Chart and 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 Chart.

APT. also won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, and was nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

In October 2022, Mars became the first artist to achieve six Diamond certifications. His catalog includes seven RIAA Diamond certifications for tracks including Just the Way You Are, currently the highest-certified song in history at 21x RIAA Platinum, Uptown Funk with Mark Ronson, Grenade, That’s What I Like, When I Was Your Man, Locked Out of Heaven and The Lazy Song.

His debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans has spent more than 345 weeks on the Billboard 200, the longest run for any studio album by a solo male artist.

Additionally, Mars has secured nine No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 throughout his career. His 2024-2025 collaborations contributed 30 weeks on top of the Global 200 chart. He has placed 35 songs on the Hot 100 since a string of hits starting in 2009.

Mars’ team has yet to announce the new album’s tracklist, features and production credits.
