BMG promotes Allegra Willis Knerr to VP, Film & TV Licensing

BMG has promoted Allegra Willis Knerr to VP, Film & TV Licensing.

Based in Los Angeles, in her new role, Willis Knerr will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and direction of the newly restructured BMG US Film & TV Licensing department.

Continuing to be responsible for driving and optimizing workflows and output of the synch licensing team,Willis Knerr will report directly to Patrick Joest, Global EVP, Licensing & Marketing, and work alongside Alex Flores, who oversees US Film & TV Marketing.

BMG announced last week that it was making a serious move into creating its own visual content as an added service for artists and songwriters.


Joining Bug Music in 2009, prior to BMG’s acquisition in 2011, Willis Knerr was elevated to Director and co-head, Film & TV Licensing in 2013 and Sr. Director, Film & TV Licensing in 2015.

Following Willis Knerr’s appointment, BMG has also elevated Megan Goldstein to Sr. Director, Film & TV Licensing; Chris Etscheid to Sr. Director, Film & TV Licensing Administration; and Corey Brulé to Sr. Manager, Film & TV Licensing.
