BMG acquires UK production company Beds & Beats

BMG has moved into the radio sector with the acquisition of specialist UK production music company Beds & Beats.

The company was founded by established library and custom radio composer Dave Bethell and created music used in promos, branding, idents and DJ talkover beds.

Clients range from Classic FM to BBC Radio 1 Xtra.

BMG UK EVP Alexi Cory-Smith (pictured) said, “I am delighted to welcome Beds & Beats to BMG.

“Dave Bethell’s knowledge of the radio industry, radio techniques, radio infrastructures and key relationships with the industry figures will enhance BMG’s fast-growing production music offering.”

The Beds & Beats Catalogue comprises over 5,000 tracks and is the industry leader in radio production music, with all the major radio groups in the UK as regular users.
