The Managing Director of Wixen Music UK, Beth Wijayarathna, has left the company, MBW has learned.

Wijayarathna (pictured inset) joined Wixen in 2010 after spending three years at Nettwerk One publishing, where she looked after royalties and copyright.

Wixen Music UK Ltd is the sister company of Los Angeles-based Wixen Music Publishing, Inc. and offers clients ‘elite administration and music publishing services in the UK’.

In a note to staff earlier this week announcing Wijayarathna’s exit, Wixen director Randall D Wixen said the exec had been “instrumental in the progress of the company”.

He added: “Beth has helped grow the business in the UK over the last five years, and has helped build the profile of Wixen UK to that of a company widely known and highly regarded within the industry”.

“The happy news is that Beth is currently expecting her second child and I’m sure you all join me in wishing her the very best for the future.”

MBW understands that Wixen UK will not be directly replacing Wijayarathna.

The UK business will continue to be run by President & Company secretary Naomi Asher.

Wixen’s publishing roster includes works from the likes of Tom Petty (pictured, main), Journey, The Black Keys and The Doors.
