Troy Carter’s Venice Music bolsters global streaming team with key hires in the UK and US

Venice Music has scaled up its global streaming team as Beth Cherry is named the company’s Head of Streaming, UK.

Isobel Kelly has also joined as Head of Alt/Pop Streaming US, and Jamal Jimoh has been named Head of Hip Hop/R&B Streaming (US).

The three execs join Troy Carter and Suzy Ryoo’s music and technology platform Venice, as the company says it is expanding on its approach to becoming a “white-glove, creative and supportive distribution and label/artist services partner for independent artists and their teams.”

Cherry joins the company from Parlophone, where she was the Streaming Lead across its roster, including GRM Daily, FFRR, and Disturbing London.

She recently worked closely on PinkPantheress’ debut mixtape to hell with it, and helped lead Coldplay to the band’s highest streaming debuts to date, as well as two Number One UK albums.

Kelly joins Venice from Premier Music Group and Downtown Records.

 

During her tenure at Premier Music Group in New York, she led commerce and streaming across a roster of independent artists including Channel Tres, Melanie Faye, Santigold, and Ambar Lucid.

She previously ran digital marketing and streaming initiatives at RECORDS for artists including Noah Cyrus, Nelly, and Labrinth, Sia & Diplo present LSD.

Jamal Jimoh is a marketing and management professional with over fifteen years of experience.

He began his career at Island Def Jam as a New Media consultant, before accepting a role in A&R Research and Promotion.

Jimoh then moved Teen Island – the teen marketing arm of Island Def Jam – where he worked with acts such as Justin Bieber.

Jimoh later took on the role of General Manager at Nick Cannon’s Ncredible Entertainment, and has also held roles as Director of Urban Digital Marketing at Entertainment One, Senior Director of Urban Programming and Revenue at Premier Music Group, VP of Marketing & Revenue at Rostrum Records, and Vice President & Head of Commerce for HITCO.
