Ben Tipple joins marketing agency Blackstar as Content Strategist

London and Los Angeles-based creative, marketing and digital agency Blackstar has hired Ticketmaster / Live Nation exec Ben Tipple as its new Content Strategist.

Tipple will oversee the company’s in-house creative team and content production.

In addition to the appointment of Ben Tipple, the agency has also made a number of new hires across its UK and US business, including Rae Levine, Tiago Matthias and Chey Noel in London, while specialists Yising Kao and Timmy Gruber have joined the team in Los Angeles.

The company expanded into Los Angeles in January.

Blackstar was founded by marketing exec Olivia Hobbs in January 2018 and has worked with artists including Rage Against The Machine, Ashniko, Sigur Ros, Becky Hill, Sam Wills, Alfie Templeman, Raye, Georgia & more across campaign management, social media planning, digital marketing and creative commissioning.

The company has also worked on campaigns with Universal, Sony, Warner, AWAL, Red Light, ADA, The Orchard, Entertainment One, Loma Vista, Concord, Houndstooth and Ignition Music, as well as with Greenpeace for Glastonbury, Aim Awards 2020 and On Air Live to deliver digital event architecture, streaming support and social.
