Believe’s Zimbalam platform surpasses 100k users

Believe Digital‘s Zimbalam DIY digital distribution service has surpassed 100,000 users worldwide.

Zimbalam was launched in 2009 and provides a route to market for all self-produced and unsigned artists on a worldwide platform, using Believe’s distribution technology.

It allows any artist to release an album or single via Zimbalam’s accessible online platform. Artists keep 90% of royalties from all sales.

“Since the start of Zimbalam in 2009, the goal has been to make music distribution and great technology available worldwide to unsigned artists,” said Lee Morrison General Manager UK, SVP Rights Management Believe Group.

“At Believe we do not get the chance to work with all the amazing acts we would like, so Zimbalam allows us to do that whilst maintaining a high level of A&R; this gives us the ability to move acts into the main Believe machine where needed,”

Zimabalam provides a range of promotional tools, including an embeddable player and newsletter-creation client, helping artists grow their fan-bases online and increase their discoverability.

When artists sign up to Zimbalam, artists join the Believe Digital integrated network, allowing the Believe A&R teams to tap into a plethora of unsigned talent and move them into the Believe distribution network where possible.

Believe has just redesigned the Zimbalam site in the UK.Music Business Worldwide
