Belgian Association of Authors, Composers and Publishers joins pan-European ICE Core license

Sabam, the Belgian Association of Authors, Composers and Publishers has joined the pan-European ICE Core license.

Launched in 2016, the ICE Core licence brings together the work of members and songwriters from GEMA in Germany, STIM in Sweden, the UK’s PRS for Music, ConcordDowntown Music Publishing/Songtrust, Peer music and IMRO in Ireland.

ICE says that it has processed trillions of online music uses from music streaming services and has paid over €1.6 billion to rightsholders since March 2016.

The ICE copyright database holds over 40 million musical works.

ICE is based in the UK, Germany and Sweden.

Sabam manages the rights of more than 42,000 members across music, film & television, theatre & dance, visual arts and literature.

In 2019, Sabam distributed more than €115 million in copyright royalties to more than 32,000 members.
