Beggars Group expands in the US with new Head of Streaming and Director of HR appointments

The Beggars Group of Labels has expanded its US office with the addition of two staff members in newly-created roles.

Brandon Becker joins as Head Of Streaming, as Jonathan Gold joins as Director of Human Resources.

Both roles are based in the firm’s New York office.

Brandon Becker was previously Head of Digital Accounts for Domino Recording Company. Prior to that, he was a Digital Sales Manager with The Orchard.

Before the creation of the Head of Streaming position, Beggars was managing streaming in the US via its sales and marketing staff, in conjunction with UK staff.

The firm said that it was “excited for Brandon to take full reigns of the US holistic streaming strategy and communicate with our digital music partners ensuring optimal coverage for our artists”.

Jonathan Gold was previously a People & Culture Business Partner at Kobalt Music Group.

As Director of HR at Beggars, he will be the sole HR point of contact for the company’s staff in New York and California.

He will also draw up HR practices, and provide hands-on service in the areas of recruitment, benefits, employment compliance, employee relations and employee development.T

The Beggars Group is home to 4AD, Matador Records, Rough Trade, Young Turks and XL Recordings.

Artists signed to the company’s labels include Radiohead, FKA Twigs, Spoon, Queens Of The Stone Age, The National, The xx, Yo La Tengo and more.

The Beggars Group is based in London and has multiple offices in Europe, Canada and Asia in addition to their US headquarters in New York City.

There is also an office in Los Angeles, CA and a Matador office in Austin, Texas.Music Business Worldwide
