BalconyTV launches record label in partnership with The Orchard

Online live music video channel BalconyTV has launched a record label in partnership with owner The Orchard.

BalconyTV Records will produce compilations of its best recordings from performances around the world.

The Orchard, that acquired the channel in 2014, will distribute the albums to digital stores and streaming services.

A compilation series titled Live from the Outside is BalconyTV Records’ debut release.

Each album from the series will focus on a specific genre, pooling recorded performances from BalconyTV’s 60+ locations.

Jeff Clyburn, President & GM of BalconyTV, said: “BalconyTV is always focusing on finding new artists and showcasing them to a worldwide audience.

“Live from the Outside allows us to highlight the finest performances from up-and-coming musicians of all genres and share them with the world in a new medium.”
