Australian hitmakers NERVO sign global partnership with International Volleyball Federation

Australian DJ and songwriting duo NERVO have partnered with The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) ahead of the launch of a new global competition, the Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

The FIVB is said to be committed to ‘showcasing world class entertainment and putting music at the centre of the fan experience’.

As a result, NERVO, who co-wrote David Guetta’s Grammy-winning When Love Takes Over, will now gain exposure to a new worldwide audience.

The duo have also written/produced club tracks for the likes of Armin van Buuren, Kesha and Britney Spears.

NERVO (pictured) have now recorded an exclusive track entitled ‘Worlds Collide,’ which will be the official anthem of the Volleyball Nations League.

They will perform to capacity crowds at both the men’s and women’s VNL finals, starting with the women’s in Nanjing on 27th June and then at the men’s final in Lille on July 8th.

The new partnership was unveiled for the first time yesterday (Sunday June 10th) at the Ottawa leg of the VNL tour when NERVO performed ‘Worlds Collide’ for the first time.

Liv Nervo said, “As Australians, we’re no strangers to sport but the party atmosphere of VNL matches is pretty special. The energy between the players and the fans has been at the heart of the collaboration, and we can’t wait to be in Canada to add ‘Worlds Collide’ to the mix.”

Fernando Lima, Secretary General of the FIVB said, “Sport and music are a fantastic mix as both deal with human creativity and capacity to engage with people. Volleyball has a global fan base and The Volleyball Nations League provides a platform for great sport alongside fantastic entertainment and an unforgettable fan experience.

“There will be an amazing party atmosphere at all of the matches and NERVO will be a big part of that. They are great ambassadors for our sport and ‘Worlds Collide’ is the perfect anthem for this competition.”Music Business Worldwide
