Apple’s new AirPods ad: Will it convince you to go wireless?

Apple‘s wireless Airpods have been something of a controversial product innovation.

Without doubt, the most debated element of their introduction has been their impact on the iPhone 7; Apple’s latest phone arrived in September without a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

In Apple’s eyes, an earphone experience doesn’t get better than an iPhone 7 combined with the AirPods… and now it’s trying to convince the world.

Below you can watch the company’s stylish new set of ads for its new in-ear gadgets.

Soundtracked by Marian Hill song ‘Down’, the campaign features a young man strolling through a city, showing off some fancy footwork.

The commercials show off the automated ‘pairing’ of the AirPods with Apple devices, in addition to their ability to recognise voice commands via Siri.

Elsewhere, there’s also a clever use of the AirPods as musical notes.

Are you convinced?

The Airpods, which connect to Apple devices via Bluetooth, have already taken Apple to a market-leading position in the wireless earphone market (see Statista graph below).

They retail for $159 in the US and £159 in the UK.
