Apple has announced the date of its next big presentation – Wednesday, September 9.
The Cupertino giant is expected to unveil a new iPhone at the San Fransisco event, which it has teased with the line, ‘Hey Siri, give us a hint.’
Some believe that alongside a new phone, Apple will reveal a set-top box or even a smart TV which consumers can ‘talk’ to via its voice recognition software.
There’s also likely to be an announcement for iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.
The music business will be hopeful that Apple Music will get a showing at the conference.
A presence for the Spotify rival, perhaps tied to the launch of a new iPhone or as part of a bundle deal like that recently seen in Australia, would no doubt bring a big boost to its sign-up numbers.
Apple revealed the iPhone 6 in September last year across two models – the standard 6 and the 6 Plus.
The phone sold more than 10m units in its opening weekend after launching on September 19.
