Apple Music has unveiled a new concert series called Apple Music Live.
Apple Music Live is billed as a “new recurring series” designed to “give the biggest stars in music the biggest possible platform to flaunt how they connect with audiences and how their songs translate to live performance.”
Harry Styles’ upcoming ONE NIGHT ONLY IN NEW YORK performance (Friday May 20) at UBS Arena, Belmont Park, will be the first performance in the series. Future guests have not yet been announced.
The show will be available to stream exclusively to Apple Music subscribers in 167 countries, and will coincide with the release of Styles’ new album, Harry’s House, released on May 20.
This will be the first time Styles performs the album.
ONE NIGHT ONLY IN NEW YORK will be available to stream live on Apple Music at 2am BST this Saturday May 21 here, and will encore on May 22 at 5pm BST.
Harry Styles’ latest single, As It Was, was the highest streaming first-day release of 2022 on Apple Music, says the company.
The song also received the most first day worldwide streams of any Spatial Audio release on the platform.
Said Apple Music: “No matter how much time and effort an artist may spend crafting music in the studio, it’s on the stage where they really get to show their work.
“Apple Music Live is a new recurring series designed to do just that: give the biggest stars in music the biggest possible platform to flaunt how they connect with audiences and how their songs translate to live performance.”
Elsewhere at Apple Music, the company recently expanded its Fire in the Booth series, the popular freestyle rap platform created by hip-hop DJ Charlie Sloth, into Germany.
The rap show has amassed over 1.4 billion views across Apple Music and YouTube.
On May 16, the show launched on Apple Music in Germany, presented by DJ Maxxx as part of Apple Music’s HYPED playlist and hip hop brand.
