Apple Music hires Google’s Lindsay Rothschild to lead Music Publishing Creative Services in North America

Apple Music has hired Google executive Lindsay Rothschild as its new Head of Creative Services, Music Publishing, North America.

Rothschild’s appointment comes one year after Apple launched its music publishing division led by respected exec Elena Segal, Apple Music’s Global Director of Music Publishing.

At Google, Rothschild was the Songwriter, Publisher Relations lead for YouTube, and Music Publishing Business Development for YouTube and Google Play.

Rothschild started in the new role on April 29, as first reported by Variety.

Prior to Google, Rothschild led Product Development at Disney Music Group, and before that she held Product Manager, Business Analyst and UX roles at Warner Chappell.

Rothschild’s wide-ranging remit at Apple Music includes building relationships with key creative/A&R music publishing teams and the songwriter community as well as helping the streaming service’s creative partners to navigate the Apple Music ecosystem and engage with its platform and its subscribers.

She will also deliver creative opportunities for songwriters within Apple Music and the Apple ecosystem and work with the Apple Music publishing team to deliver creative opportunities with key industry bodies, partnerships events and ambassadors.
