Antares Audio Technologies has launched AutoTune Advanced, a real-time vocal tuning plugin that the company is positioning as the new flagship of its automatic pitch-correction lineup.
The plugin arrived on September 24, built on what Antares calls a ground-up rebuild of the AutoTune algorithm.
Its headline addition is DVA, a patent-pending engine that detects a singer’s vibrato and leaves it in place instead of correcting it.
Antares says the updated Auto-Mode pitch algorithm inside Advanced is the “largest engineering investment in the AutoTune algorithm since its introduction.”
DVA runs on top of that algorithm, and is paired with a real-time visualizer that shows the vibrato the engine is picking up as a vocal plays.
Where a performance has no vibrato at all, a new Vibrato FX section can generate it using sine, square, saw, or triangle waves, with rate and cut/boost controls.
Advanced also introduces a Live monitoring mode, which Antares says holds plugin latency under 1 ms at every supported sample rate, from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz. The company’s launch announcement puts the figure at 0.84 ms at 44.1 kHz, without specifying the buffer size or host used to measure it.
Two further modes sit alongside it: Low Latency for tracking and High Quality for mix-ready fidelity.

Antares is placing Advanced at the top of a three-edition AutoTune range that also includes AutoTune Pro 11 and AutoTune.
Pro 11 remains the edition that includes Graph Mode for manual vocal editing and harmony generation, while AutoTune – the streamlined edition that launched as AutoTune 2026 in October 2025, replacing AutoTune Artist and AutoTune Access – is the one Antares pitches at everyday correction.
Other additions to Advanced include an updated Formant Designer, a custom scale workflow, a 78-note Visual Keyboard, and MIDI Perform, which maps a MIDI controller to the plugin’s tuning and Vibrato FX controls.
The plugin launches with a library of presets built by eight producers, engineers, and artists: Julian Marley, Ann Mincieli, Tom Norris, Benjamin Thomas, Bart Schoudel, Brendan Morawski, David YUNGIN Kim, and Jess Jackson.

Wright was Chief Operating Officer of the company in August 2023, when Antares confirmed a minority investment from Atairos, which joined an existing group of investors that included Ulysses Management and Orkila Capital.
Atairos is the investment firm founded by former Comcast CFO Michael Angelakis and launched in 2016 with around USD $4 billion of Comcast money behind it.
Steve Berkley was CEO of Antares at the time of that deal. Wright has since taken the role.
Wright said at the time that the next chapter would be “equally transformative, as the Company integrates powerful AI tools and launches products geared to new markets.”
Antares said in the same announcement that it had released its AutoTune Unlimited subscription – then styled Auto-Tune Unlimited – in 2020.
The launch lands in a vocal software market that has been consolidating.
In January 2026, LANDR acquired DAW developer Reason Studios for an undisclosed sum, adding to a portfolio that already included Synchro Arts, the developer behind vocal alignment tools VocAlign and Revoice Pro.
Real-time vocal processing has also drawn in the big label groups: HYBE‘s own AI audio subsidiary, Supertone, launched a beta of its real-time voice changer, Supertone Shift, in April 2024.
AutoTune Advanced is available as a perpetual license or as part of the AutoTune Unlimited subscription, and is included at no extra cost for current Unlimited subscribers.
