Andrew Ludwick has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development, Digital, at Warner Chappell Music (WCM).

In this new role, Ludwick will work with major tech partners and outside counsel in the digital realm, acting as a commercial lead to close licensing deals.

He’ll also oversee business opportunities in developing markets, says WCM, and will partner with the company’s Finance, Administration, and Operations teams to build cohesion across WCM’s digital supply chain.

Ludwick will report to WCM’s Senior Vice President of Global Digital Natalie Madaj, who was promoted to the role in 2021.

Ludwick has spent nearly a decade with Warner Music Group (WMG), having started at Warner Records before taking on a position in emerging media licensing for WMG’s Sync division.

He most recently served as Director of Digital Innovation for WCM, and has worked with tech companies such as Peloton, Snap, and TikTok to create new revenue drivers for WCM.

He has also managed relationships with digital partners, ranging from seed-funded startups to large tech companies, and helped lead commercial negotiations across a range of verticals, from fitness and social media to WMG’s growing presence in the Web3 and metaverse spaces.

In recent months, Warner Records UK teamed up with audio company Bose to offer fans a collection of 5,000 freely available NFTs, while WMG has partnered with the Quincy Jones-backed NFT company OneOF.

Ludwick is a founding member of WMG’s West Coast LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, and currently serves as a WMG mentor for the Techstars Music Accelerator program.

“I started my career in music as an intern at Warner Records and got to where I am today by leaning into challenging business cases and seeking solutions.”
