AIM CEO Paul Pacifico joins Creative Industries Federation board

Association of Independent Music CEO, Paul Pacifico, has been elected to the board of UK Government lobbying organisation, the Creative industries Federation (CIF).

CIF aims to provide an authoritative voice for the UK’s creative industries, cultural education and arts.

With a membership comprised of over 1,000 companies, organisations, institutions and individual practitioners, its board includes creative and business leaders.

Other board members include YouTube’s Director Europe, Middle East and Africa, Ben McOwen Wilson, BBC Director General Lord Hall, and Mediacom Chairwoman Karen Blackett.

CIF engages with politicians of all parties and with every level of government, from eight Whitehall departments including No.10 and the Treasury, the devolved nations, metro mayors, city leaders, LEPs and local authorities.

Established in 1999, AIM provides a collective voice for the UK’s independent music industry and represents over 800 member companies.

Pacifico was appointed CEO following the departure of Alison Wenham in 2016.

Discussing joining CIF, Pacifico said: “CIF has a unique voice that brings together representatives from across Britain’s diverse and exciting creative industries.
