After announcing their first studio album in 40 years, ABBA surpass 80,000 UK pre-orders in just three days

Last week, pop legends ABBA announced their return after 40 years with a brand new studio album calledVoyage and what they have described as a “revolutionary’ new concert.

According to Universal Music UK, pre-orders of the new album in the UK surpassed 80,000 within just three days, becoming Universal Music UK’s biggest ever album pre-order, breaking the previous record set by Take That for their Progress and III albums.

Recorded together at Benny’s studio Riksmixningsverket in Stockholm, Voyage will be released worldwide on November 5 on Polydor / Universal Music Group, while the Voyage concert will see the group perform digitally with a live 10-piece band, in a purpose-built arena in London from May 27, 2022.

Meanwhile, the two new singles from the album, I Still Have Faith In You and Don’t Shut Me Down are currently in the UK Top 10 Single Chart midweeks.

I Still Have Faith In You and Don’t Shut Me Down have been viewed over 12.7m and 6.2m times on YouTube, respectively.


With nearly 400 million albums sold worldwide, 17 No.1 hits and over 16 million weekly global streams, ABBA are one of the most successful music acts of all time.

ABBA Gold, originally released in 1992, recently passed its 1000th week on the UK Album Chart, the first album in history to reach this milestone.

Content using the #ABBA hashtag on TikTok recently reached one billion views, without the catalog officially being available on the platform.
