AEG International has promoted nine executives within its Global Partnerships division as part of a team restructure designed to strengthen partner experience and enhance global alignment as it expands its channel and market offerings.

The Global Partnerships unit is responsible for sponsorship and premium seating across AEG’s venues, tours, festivals, and events worldwide.

Under the changes, Georgina Iceton, Will Dowdy, and Matthew Zweck have each been promoted to Senior Vice President roles, while six additional executives have been elevated to Vice President positions with expanded responsibilities across the company’s global partnerships operations.

After more than 18 years with the organisation, Iceton has been named Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships, AEG International, where she will focus on driving global collaboration across markets and supporting brand partnerships across AEG’s international venues. She will also continue to lead partnership strategy across the company’s UK portfolio, including London’s The O2.

Dowdy has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Partnerships, AEG Presents, overseeing partnership sales across the promoter’s venues, tours, and festivals in the UK and France. He has worked at AEG for more than 15 years.

“Our business continues to grow, and with growth comes the need for a strong, steady executive team to navigate new opportunities. It’s a pleasure to see trusted, long-standing team members step into these leadership roles.”

Zweck assumes the role of Senior Vice President, AEG Global Partnerships, AEG International, with responsibility for partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region as well as oversight of the Middle East. Based in Australia, Zweck has helped secure partnerships across several of AEG’s venues in the region, including IG Arena in Japan, UOB Live in Thailand, and Mercedes‑Benz Arena in Shanghai, China.

Alongside the three SVP promotions, six executives have been promoted to Vice President roles. They include Laura Palairet, Matt Botten, and Liana Mellotte, who work across AEG International’s UK venues, with Mellotte also leading partnership sales for the company’s ticketing platform AXS.

Additional promotions include Ollie Blake, who will focus on global partnerships strategy for AEG International, as well as Carla Morini and Katie Cavanagh, who will lead Global Partnerships across venues, festivals, and events under AEG Presents in the UK.

Commenting on the changes, Paul Samuels, President of Global Partnerships at AEG, said the promotions reflect the company’s continued expansion and the increasing role of brand partnerships in live entertainment.

“Our business continues to grow, and with growth comes the need for a strong, steady executive team to navigate new opportunities. It’s a pleasure to see trusted, long-standing team members step into these leadership roles,” said Samuels.

“Their deep knowledge of AEG’s business, understanding of our clients, and passion for reimagining our offerings position us for continued success as we expand. I’m proud to lead a team that balances bold inspiration with a steady, reliable hand.”

The restructuring follows a number of other executive appointments and promotions across AEG in recent months.

Earlier this year, AEG veteran John Langford was appointed President of Asia-Pacific for AEG International as the company expands its regional footprint.

The company’s ticketing division AXS has also recently strengthened its leadership team with the promotions of Julie Lamb to Chief Talent Officer and Jason Boxer to Chief Financial Officer, alongside the appointment of Henrik Berndtson as Head of the Nordics.

Meanwhile, AEG Presents has also made a series of changes within its touring division, including the promotions of Caleb Merrell and Laurel Hilburn to Senior Tour Directors, and the hiring of Ryan Erickson as Senior Director of Marketing and Emily Harenza as Director of Digital Marketing.Music Business Worldwide
