Lucius manager Ben Levin joins Nettwerk

Ben Levin has joined Nettwerk Management, ending a 14-year tenure at Tony Margherita Management where he worked with acts including Wilco, Lucius (pictured) and Aoife O’Donovan.

At TMM, Levin also managed composer/percussionist Glenn Kotche, jazz guitarist Nels Cline, jazz trumpeter Dave Douglas, and co-managed folk trio I’m With Her.

He will join Nettwerk manager Dalton Sim (Father John Misty, Nate Ruess, Guster) in Nettwerk’s Boston office, and brings Lucius, Aoife O’Donovan, I’m With Her and Grammy Award-winning engineer Joe Visciano with him – while, presumably, leaving Wilco (who he day-to-day managed) behind.

Sim said: “After admiring Ben’s work with Wilco and the development of Lucius over the last few years, it’s really exciting to have him join us.

“While we share core artist management philosophies, Ben is bringing a new creative approach to management that makes him a great partner for Nettwerk.”

Lucius spent 2016 touring in support of their sophomore album Good Grief, performing with Roger Waters at Desert Trip, and completing their first score for the film Band-Aid, which premiered yesterday at Sundance.

Aoife O’Donovan, meanwhile, whose recent album In the Magic Hour included one of the New York Times best songs of 2016, can be heard in the house band of several upcoming A Prairie Home Companion episodes.

Nettwerk Management’s roster also includes Mike Posner, whose 2016 smash single I Took A Pill In Ibiza is Grammy nominated, and Father John Misty, who is set to release Pure Comedy – the follow up to his 2015 album I Love You Honeybear – on April 7th.

Also on the Nettwerk roster are Stereophonics, who celebrate their 20th anniversary with the release of their 10th studio album later this year, while new music from Radical Face, Family of the Year and Typhoon is on the way.

Other recent additions to the management roster include indie-pop trio SHAED, pop songstress Caroline Pennell and producer/musician Jordan XL.
