Warner nabs Polydor France boss Julien Creuzard to run Elektra in Paris

Warner Music Group is launching its Elektra label in France, helmed by former Universal exec Julien Creuzard.

Elektra France is launching as JV between Warner and Creuzard, who was named head of Polydor France earlier this year after four years as boss of UMG’s Capitol label in the market.

At Universal, he worked with artists such as Indila, Fréro Delavega, The Avener, Marina Kaye, MHD and the likes of Booba, Florent Pagny, Christophe, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, and The Lumineers.

In 1998, Julien Creuzard created 20000ST/Roxburry Publishing before joining Universal Music Publishing France in 20007 as Artistic Director. In 2011, he became Global Head of the AZ label at Universal France, where he signed Booba, Indila, Fréro Delavega, The Avener, Marina Kaye, MHD, Kaaris, and Kalash, among others.

He became Head of Capitol label (Universal Music France) in 2012 and the Polydor label in 2016.Music Business Worldwide
