Warner Music veteran named Amazon’s Director Of Ticketing

Former Warner Music exec, Lawrence Peryer, has joined Amazon as Director, Tickets.

Peryer spent over four years at Warner Music after joining as CEO, Artist Arena, in 2012.

Based in New York, he then rose the ranks to Head of Direct-to-Consumer, WEA Global Consumer Sales & Marketing Group, before being promoted to EVP of the division.

Peryer left Warner in May 2016 and he spent the rest of the year as a consultant and producer.

In his new role at Amazon he’s based in the Seattle area, where he’ll help the tech giant expand its ticketing operations.

Launched in 2015, Amazon Tickets offers customers the ability to purchase tickets to music, theatre, and comedy events.

Judging by the amount of job openings currently advertised, the firm has grand ambitions for 2017 and beyond.

Prior to Warner, Peryer spent over seven years as President of Live Nation’s UltraStar Entertainment.
