Universal’s Republic Records launches luxury suitcases with TUMI

Universal label Republic Records has teamed with business travel brand TUMI to launch a limited edition collection of luxury bags.

The line includes an International Expandable 4 Wheeled Carry-On Priced at $625 (£504), and a TUMI T Business Class Brief Pack retailing at $495 (£398).

Also available to purchase from March is a Double Expansion Travel Satchel retailing at $395 (£318).

There are currently limited quantities on hand at TUMI’s Rodeo Drive location.

The collection was revealed at Republic Record’s Grammy Awards event in LA earlier this week, where TUMI was a sponsor.

Artists signed to Republic include Ariana Grande, Black Sabbath, Florence + the Machine, Godsmack, Gotye, James Blake, James Bay, John Mellencamp, Keith Richards, Nickelback, Of Monsters and Men, Seth MacFarlane and Zendaya.

The label is also comprised of business ventures like American Recordings (The Avett Brothers), Brushfire (Jack Johnson), Cash Money (Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj), John Varvatos Records (Zac Brown Band), Lava Records (Jessie J, Lorde), Monkeywrench (Pearl Jam), Casablanca Records (Stromae, Tïesto), NBC’s The Voice, XO (The Weeknd) and School Boy Records (PSY, Sheppard).

In addition, Republic maintains a long-standing strategic alliance with country powerhouse Big Machine Label Group, which is comprised of Big Machine Records (Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, The Band Perry, Florida Georgia Line, The Eli Young Band) and Dot Records (Maddie + Tae).
