Paul Everett joins Eventbrite as Head Of Music Partnerships

Ticketing and event technology platform Eventbrite has hired artist manager Paul Everett as Head of Music Partnerships.

In the newly-created role, Everett will develop and implement the company’s music strategy.

Based in Eventbrite’s London office, he will be tasked with overseeing and building upon relations with venues, promoters, artists and managers.

Everett’s career began at the Beggars Group in promotions.

Since then he has held managerial positions at SuperVision Management Group and Proud2 at The O2.

He is a director at artist management company Wonderland Management, a position that he continues to hold.

Everett said: “Eventbrite is an incredible company and from a ticketing perspective, the technology is second to none.

“As the music landscapes shifts people are seeking a reliable, dynamic, scalable, and easy-to-use ticketing solution. I am very excited about the challenge ahead and looking forward to creating partnerships with progressive promoters, venues and artists.”

Meanwhile, Eventbrite has struck a ticketing partnership with one of Iceland’s largest music festivals, Secret Solstice (16-18 June, 2017) in Reykjavik. The multi-year deal names Eventbrite as the exclusive international ticketing platform for all global markets outside of Iceland.

“We’re excited to have partnered with Eventbrite to increase the reach of Secret Solstice in our fourth year for 2017”, says Fred Olafsson, Secret Solstice’s Festival Director.

“We’re looking forward to the positive effect their platform and technology will have on our sales, helping us bring more international exposure and guests to our event in Iceland.”

The announcement of Eventbrite’s new Head of Music Partnerships and the Secret Solstice win come on the back of a new partnership with concert discovery platform Bandsintown and Eventbrite signing its latest large festival customer, The Newport Folk Festival in the US.

Eventbrite, headquartered in San Francisco, has processed over $5 billion in gross ticket sales since it was founded in 2006.Music Business Worldwide
