Naz Idelji named Director of Compilations at Sony Music UK

Naz Idelji has been appointed as the new Director of Compilations at Sony Music UK in London.

Idelji steps up from her previous role as Head Of Compilations at Ministry Of Sound Recordings, which was acquired by Sony in August last year.

During Idelji’s tenure at Ministry, the label sold ten million compilation albums – as the exec further developed renowned brands such as Anthems and The Annual.

Idelji also launched successful new collections at Ministry, including I Love and Throwback.

The latter is now the UK’s second most popular compilation brand – after only Now That’s What I Call Music!, in which Sony is a 50% stakeholder.

Idelji’s new position incorporates her role as Head of Ministry of Sound Recordings Compilations.

She is appointed with immediate effect and reports to Nicola Tuer, COO, Sony Music UK.

“Naz is one of the true rising stars in the industry  – so I am totally thrilled at her new role.”
