Australia-born independent music company Mushroom Group has promoted Chris Maund to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer.
Maund was previously Managing Director of Mushroom label Ivy League Records, as well as Director of Legal & Business Affairs for the Mushroom Group.
He will now be responsible for overseeing and driving operations for the company’s roster of labels.
Alongside Ivy League, those include Liberation, 100s + 1000s, Liberator Music, I OH YOU, Soothsayer and publishing arm, Mushroom Music.
Mushroom Chairman Michael Gudinski said: “Chris has been a key part of the Mushroom team for a decade now and his move into this newly created role is a natural progression for both him and the Mushroom Group.

Mushroom has three offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland.
The firm also encompasses promotions, booking, management, merchandise, creative services and film & TV divisions.
