Ministry Of Sound launches free music streaming app

This week sees the official launch of Ministry of Sound LIVE, a free streaming ‘radio’ app for iPhone and Android.

The app features a range of curated music channels to match users’ moods, as well as exclusive on-demand mixes from famous DJs.

In addition, it offers access to LIVE, a non-stop dance music station hosted by Ministry of Sound’s resident presenters..

Fans will also be able to listen to DJs playing live at London’s iconic Ministry of Sound nightclub every Friday and Saturday night with ‘Live From The Club’.

Lohan Presencer, CEO at Ministry of Sound, said “This is an app for people who love music but don’t have hours to spend searching for the latest tracks and remixes or re-discovering the classics.

“We wanted to create a fully accessible digital music experience with the same feel good factor as our world famous compilation albums, which top the charts and sell millions of copies each year.”

Free to use, Ministry of Sound LIVE features six different non-stop music streaming channels inspired by Ministry of Sound’s internationally renowned compilation series, including ‘Chilled’, ‘Running Trax’, ‘Throwback RnB’, ‘Anthems’, ‘I Love House’ and ‘Anthems Hip-Hop’.

MoS says they’re, ‘Curated and mixed by the best in the industry and refreshed every week to include the very latest releases and remixes.’

This range of channels will continue to expand with ‘I Love Garage’, ‘Hed Kandi’ and ‘80’s Mix’ appearing on the platform by the end of the year.

In addition to the station and channels, Ministry of Sound LIVE boasts a range of exclusive on-demand mixes from prominent DJs including Hardwell, Judge Jules, Mark Knight and Steve Aoki, with more big names in the pipeline.Music Business Worldwide
