Music Business Worldwide is launching a monthly podcast – and our first episode will go live next week with special guest Nick Gatfield.

Gatfield is the former boss of Sony Music UK, and has also worked at the very top of US and UK labels including Polygram, Island Records and EMI.

Gatfield recently set up his own company, Twin Music Inc., to offer seed/angel investment for both music creatives and emerging start-ups.

Not a lot is known about Twin so far, so we’ll be asking Gatfield plenty about the new venture, his ambitions and, of course, his experiences as one of the most influential British music executives of the past 20 years.

The MBW podcast is supported by CI, experts in digital music delivery since 2003. Renowned for reliability and superfast delivery to Apple Music, Spotify, Google, Amazon and dozens of other digital music platforms, CI are a trusted partner for many of  the biggest independent labels,  distributors and aggregators in the world.

“We love running top interviews with the global music biz’s biggest names on MBW, and it’s exciting to now be able to invite them on the monthly podcast,” said Music Business Worldwide editor Tim Ingham.

“There’s much mystery surrounding Nick Gatfield’s Twin Music Inc, so this is a perfect opportunity to dig into what it’s all about.

“You can expect more big names from the global industry to follow on the monthly MBW Podcast throughout 2015.”

CI General Manager Kieron Faller said: “It’s a great pleasure to be involved with this new podcast from MBW. In the short time since their launch, they’ve already established themselves as a high-quality journalistic voice in the landscape of music industry media.

“At CI part of what we do is to help the whole independent sector understand the ever-changing digital music industry and to engage with these changes as effectively as possible.

“The MBW podcast will be a great resource for all involved in the music business, and we are proud to support it.”

The Music Business Worldwide Podcast is powered by The TuneTribe Entertainment Group.

CEO William Haighton said: “We’ve been enjoying MBW’s excellent content with our eyes for months – we’re very much looking forward to enjoying it with our ears too.”Music Business Worldwide
