Island Records UK promotes Natasha Mann, Olivia Nunn and Guillermo Ramos

Natasha Mann, Olivia Nunn and Guillermo Ramos are all stepping up at Island Records UK to become Directors at the Universal label.

Ramos is stepping up to Marketing Director after three years as Senior Marketing Manager. Mann and Nunn are also being promoted to Marketing Director from their existing positions as Heads of Marketing.

The news was announced by Island Records’ President Darcus Beese and Managing Director Jon Turner.

It comes two months after the elevation of Island’s General Manager David Hawkes to MD, Commercial Division of Universal Music UK – following the departure of Brian Rose to Apple.

Island, which handles releases from Canadian superstar Drake in the UK, has scored 19 weeks at No.1 in the domestic singles chart and five weeks at the top of the albums chart in 2016 so far.

Natasha Mann joined Island in 2009 from Toast Press where her PR clients included Florence + The Machine, La Roux, Jamie Woon and Kano.

She was made Head of Marketing in 2014, overseeing chart-topping album campaigns for Mumford & Sons, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Disclosure, John Newman and PJ Harvey among many others.

Olivia Nunn began her career at Island in 2006 in TV promotions before moving into marketing in 2009. She became Head of Marketing alongside Mann in 2014.

Most recently Nunn has been heading the team driving the UK campaigns of The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness and Drake’s Views.

Nunn’s other career highlights have included campaigns for Annie Lennox and Jessie Ware and building the profile of Rizzle Kicks to platinum-selling status.

Stepping up to join Mann and Nunn in Island’s senior management team, Guillermo Ramos – who joined Island in February 2011 from Anorak London where he was a radio and TV plugger working on Mumford & Sons’ debut album among others.

His first projects as Marketing Manager at Island, Ben Howard and Gotye, were both platinum album-sellers within his first year.

Since becoming Senior Marketing Manager in March 2013 Ramos has steered further successful campaigns for Hozier, Bombay Bicycle Club and Jack Garratt alongside Ben Howard’s chart-topping second album.

Mann, Nunn and Ramos all continue to report to Island MD Jon Turner following their promotions which are with immediate effect.
