Deep Purple companies fall into administration

Two companies set up to manage copyrights for Deep Purple and other associated acts have fallen into administration, MBW has discovered.

Deep Purple (Overseas) Ltd and HEC Enterprises Ltd covered both musical works and recorded rights for the band.

Mark Supperstone and Simon Harris of ReSolve Partners Limited were appointed as Joint Administrators of the Companies earlier this month (January 19).

ReSolve Partners are continuing to trade the Companies whilst offering the businesses and assets for sale.

Any ongoing licencing requests and provision of statements should continue to be made to Wixen Music UK Limited on behalf of the Companies.

UK rock band Deep Purple formed in England in 1968, and went on to have Top 5 hits in the US with the likes of Hush and Smoke On The Water.

HEC Enterprises Ltd was originally founded in the 1960s by businessman Tony Edwards with two business partners, Ron Hire and John Coletta.

Any party interested in acquiring the Companies and/or their business and assets should contact Nathan May of this office on nathan.may@resolvegroupuk.com or 020 7702 9775.Music Business Worldwide
