BMG has promoted Keith Hauprich to Deputy General Counsel.

Based in New York and reporting to Mark Robinson, SVP & General Counsel, Hauprich (pictured) has served as Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs & A/V Business Development for BMG since 2010.

During those years as in-house counsel he played an integral role in finding new business opportunities with a focus on film and television assets, as well as negotiating arrangements with sub-publishers and working with joint venture partners.

Hauprich joined BMG when the company acquired Cherry Lane Music Publishing Company, Inc. where he served as general counsel and was responsible for all legal matters.

Prior to joining Cherry Lane in 2000, Hauprich was an associate at a New York City law firm  Rudolph & Beer, LLP where he worked closely with a diverse range of entertainment-industry based clients including songwriters, producers, managers, and platinum-selling recording artists.

“Keith has earned a stellar reputation as one of the brightest attorneys in our business and has a firm grasp on the complexities our industry faces,” said Robinson.

“I am positive he is going to thrive in this new role and continue to benefit our clients in a significant way.”

“I look forward to the continued opportunity and privilege to align myself with BMG,” added Hauprich.Music Business Worldwide
